Brabus Front Splitter Fitting
Fit a Brabus front splitter to your 999cc smart fortwo 451.
Fit a Brabus front splitter to your 999cc smart fortwo 451.
The Brabus front splitter can be bought from smart using the code A451 880 00 08
although smart have changed this code and increased the price 3 times in 5 months.
The piece is very well made. Take it to a spray shop and get it colour coded.
[url=]Remove the front panel section from the car[/url] and place it on some towels.
This stops the panels becoming scratched. Look at the 2 fixings on each side.
Remove the center pin from all 4 and pull the inserts out afterwards.
Unclip and push out the 2 lower side covers.
Unclip and pull the lower grill to remove it.
Push in the clip on the flat tabs...
...and push the tabs in to start releasing the lower splitter.
Push the lower splitter forwards evenly all the way along until it is removed.
The front panels are now ready for the replacement Brabus splitter.
Hopefully at the point you already have it sprayed to match the car.
Push it in place in the same way that the old one was removed. The fit is perfect.
Ensure all the flat clips are fully clipped in and all 4 inserts and pins are replaced.
Refit the lower grill and the 2 lower side covers/fog light surrounds.
Refit the front panels back on the car. You will notice a feature on each end.
Take the narrow grill inserts that came with the splitter...
...and push them in place.
Stand back and appreciate your handywork.
Give the car a good clean as the new spoiler will probably be covered in a fine dust.
