Brabus V6 Steering Wheel Fitting
Fitting the Brabus V6 Raid steering wheel using the safe method
This guide will show you how to fit part number Q0017552V001000000.
Fitting of Q0021663V001000000 (same wheel WITHOUT paddles) is similar.

Fitting

If you are fitting a 2nd hand Brabus V6 using the
safe swap method then you may want to see specifics about fitting this particular type of wheel. Firstly, dismantle the V6 wheel as shown here.

Remove the Raid steering wheel boss by removing the 4x 6mm allen head socket bolts.
Disconnect the 2 wiring looms and pull them through the wheel.

You are left with the boss with the attached paddles and associated wiring.

Remove the old wheel using the
safe method and slide the Raid boss onto the old ESP cartridge.
Push it home so the cartridge clips into the boss. Tighten up the Torx 40 bolt underneath.

Offer the steering wheel back up to the boss and bolt it in place with all 4x 6mm bolts.
Reconnect the 2 sets of wiring.

2x green wiring goes to red/black and 2x black goes to brown/black.

They can be plugged into the wrong ones and your paddles and horn won't work as a result.

Attach the airbag connector to the airbag, tidy the wires and push the airbag in place.

Refit the Torx 30 bolts on each side to hold the airbag in place.
Plug the side connectors back into the paddles and bolt them in place.

All finished and ready to go.

Check the horn before you set off, if that doesn't work then your paddles won't either.

Which Side Connector Is For Which Paddle?

3x green and 1x black = down (-) paddle.
3x black and 1x green = up (+) paddle.
