Visteon Radio 9 & Radio 10 Removal

Below the stereo is a button bank, this just pulls out...

...to reveal a Torx25 screw. Remove the screw but careful it doesn't drop down.

Pull the top of the centre console, there are 2 clips hidden underneath.

With that panel removed you will be able to remove the Torx25 screws (circled in red).

The stereo will then slide out. Disconnect the connections from the back.
Refitting is the reverse of the above information.

Thanks to Brian for the last picture and
Peter for the other pictures.

Highline & Lowline (Entryline) Stereo Removal

The Facelift 2010 onward 451 had a different dashboard design and therefore,
different stereo surrounds. Smart went from Visteon to Bosch.

Removal of both should be similar. If you remove the Lowline stereo, please take pictures.

Pull the dashboard button bank out and remove the Torx 25 screw behind it.

Pull the sides of the fascia sideway and then towards you to get it past the dashboard.
It seems a bit heavy handed but unless you want to remove the dash, it's the best way.

Lift the fascia up to leave you with the stereo. Remove the Torx25 bolts and slide the stereo out.
