Retrofit Electric Mirrors
Remove your old manual mirrors and fit electric adjusting mirrors with heated glass.

Firstly you need to get the parts from a scrap yard, new parts will be expensive.
Two new door wiring looms with correct connections.
Smart part numbers 0009940V001000000 and 0009939V001000000.
The switch/adjuster and surround that screws to the driver's side handle.
Switch smart part number Q 0010184V001C96A00.
Two electric mirrors and the internal trim (trim not 100% necessary, see end of How2).
That's all for the parts list.
Look at the two wiring looms, one will have this extra connection,
this is the driver's side switch/adjuster connection.
Remove the inner door card.
Remove the outer door panel (info found
Lever the loom holder from the edge of the door with a screwdriver,
open up the cover on it and remove the guide.
Look in front of the front doors and you will find a large oval connector, disconnect it.
Down by the window motor is another connector, disconnect it also.
By the door handle you will see 3 connectors, disconnect all of these too.
The loom runs into the door, along the top, down a central strut where it splits.
The electric window connector runs forward and the remaining three run backwards.
The wiring is held in place by sprung metal clips, the wires can be pulled from these
very easily without the need for removing them.
Take all the wires from their clips and pull all the connectors out of the door.
Remember to disconnect the electric window switch connector.
With the old loom out of the way, plug the new loom in and push it all back into the door.
Pull the new loom into the existing clips and follow the original route.
Plug in the window control, route the wires down and plug un the window motor.
Route the wires towards the back of the door, fold the foam back to give better
access and slot all the connectors through the hole and up to the correct sockets.
Pull the foam bung out at the top from edge of the door, make a hole and pass the
D-shape connector through, push the foam seal back into the hole.
On the driver's side you will have 1 spare connection left over for the adjuster switch.

If you don't have the correct covers you can stick with the old ones and put something in the hole like a light or LED, a small gauge or even a tweeter speaker.
These are the standard covers for the electric wing mirrors.
The switch housing is screwed to the side of the handle, some handles come pre-drilled
making it easier to fit, if not you will have to hold it in place against the fitted door card
and mark where it should go. Once fitted you will have to drill a hole in the door card
large enough for the connector to pass through into the housing.
Plug it into the switch and push the switch into the housing, refit the handles and test.
