Rev Counter WTF
People have asked about it a few times, but what is it.

While I was at the Beaulieu meet I was talking to one of the Wellsmart guys who
was taking a speedo apart for recalibration. One part that had been removed was this.

It was plugged into the back of the speedo and the rev counter connector was plugged
into the back of this mystery item. I asked a few people what it was, they didn't know.
The rev counter worked with it or without it, so what's the point?

So, in true Evilution style, I went and found one and took it apart for analysis.

I can now confirm that smart call it an AM interference suppressor filter which is a misleading name They were fitted to early UK smarts to filter out any pulses from the car's electricals which could cause the rev counter to read incorrect values. They discovered it wasn't needed and ditched them.
