451 Door Panel Removal
The door panel is removed to gain access to the speakers and the window mechanism.
Remove the mirror as seen here.
Remove the Torx25 bolt underneath, circled green.

Loosen the 2 Torx bolts on the back end of the door.

Slide the handle backwards and away from the door. It will hang on a cable.
I found it easier to have the handles out of the way but some prefer to loosen them.

You may find that the door handle with the lock on it doesn't slide so easily.
This is because the lock is held in position with a screw.
You have to look at the back edge of the door and remove the plastic grommet.

Unscrew the screw inside until the handle is free.

With the handle removed you can see the lock retaining screw (circled below).
If you force the handle off without loosening this screw it will be VERY hard to refit the handle.

Along the inside top edge of the door panel are 2 clips.
Lowering the window will allow you to see these clips better.
Leave the window rubber trim on the car as it's a pain to refit.

These 2 clips sit like hooks over a rail.

Slide the door towards the front of the car for about 2cm.

Look along the top of the door again, you will see 3 clips in a channel.
Pull the top of the panel out a bit and swing the front of the door panel down.

As the panel swings down at the front, unclip it at the back from under the handle (if you have
loosened instead of removing it). The panel will now be free to be removed from the car.

Refitting the panel is the reverse to the above info.

If you removed the rubber trim you will need to push it down...

...and then roll it in and down for it to catch at the back.

Raise the window to make sure the rubber strip stays in place.

Refitting The Door Panel

Forcing the panel off is fairly easy. Getting it back on is a bit harder.
In reverse of removal, hook the back edge in place and rotate the front edge up.
The leading edge needs to be forced under the front edge of the panel.
Once it's all in place, ensure the 3 tabs are in their respective holes in the channel and
slide the door panel back. Place the 2 hooks back over the rail and refit the front bolt.
