Highlighted below is the high pressure fuel pump. It’s fed by the low pressure fuel pump in the fuel tank and is spun by the cam shaft.

However, to get to this point you have to remove the airbox, intercooler and gear change motor.

Disconnect the pipe highlighted below. This is the fuel pump to fuel rail pipe.

Success.

You Removed The Pump Because…

…it’s leaking right?

Bosch do sell seal kits for all of their high pressure diesel pumps, you just have to work out what the pump is, then you can order the seal kit. I suspect the easiest option is to strip it down, collect all of the seals and compare it to the seal kits available.

If you work it out, let me know because I bought Bosch kit F01M101454 which looks like this.

I don’t think this is correct but it might have some of the correct seals.
