Size Requirements

 Most subs will fit in a smart but very few will leave you room for much else.
Here is a list of powered subwoofers that are suitable for the smart.

Will It Fit?

 I'm not going to guarantee fitting of any of these as the space under the seat seems to vary
 depending on the age, mark, type and which side the steering wheel is on.
 This is why I have given you the stated sizes of each sub, go and measure it yourself to check.

Underseat Subwoofers

 For a bass box to be listed here it has to be able to fit under the seat of a Fortwo or behind the
 seat of a Roadster. There are plenty of bass boxes to choose from but not many that fit the smart.


So here is a roundup of available bass boxes. I will update the list as and when products are
 released. If you know of a bass box that fits the decription then let me know and i'll add it.

Keep an eye on Ebay and car audio shops that sell old stock for a bargain.

What It All Means

Peak power - a figure given out that makes the unit look more powerful than it is.
Average power - sometimes called RMS, this is the real power of the unit.
Driver size - the diameter of the cone of the speaker in the unit.
Low inputs - Connected to unamplified RCA outputs.
High inputs - Connected directly to the stereo speaker outputs.
External controller - all controls are duplicated on a wired remote.
Dimensions - overall size of the unit.
